Ingredients:
85 g dates
47 g whole unsalted almonds
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
3 additional tbsp choc chips for melting (optional)
1 scoop protein powder of choice (optional)
In a food processor, pulse dates, almonds, protein powder (optional), flax, chia, vanilla, and 1 tbsp choc chips until it all mixes together. Should take about 2-3 mins. Mix in the rest of the chocolate chips with a spatula (in the food processor without the knife bit or in a different bowl). Form mixture into balls of desired size. Store in the fridge.
Optional: Melt additional 3 tbsp of choc chips until smooth and drizzle melted chocolate over protein bites.
